Too bad the new iPhone 6 Plus bends in your pocket! Yes, it’s not a hoax, as people have been posting online pictures of their new bended iPhone 6 Plus.
If you’ve gone online today (and you have, because you’re reading this), then you must have heard the word BendGate. It refers to the latest scandal concerning the new iPhone 6 Plus and how many users who have put it in their jeans pockets have found out that the phone bends. And it’s not supposed to bend! The word BendGate has even become a trending topic on Twitter.
There have been numerous reports online where users have been complaining that the new iPhone 6 Plus, Apple’s smartphone with a 5.5-inch display, has bended after they’ve worn in their pockets. Lewis Hilsenteger, a tech blogger showed the world yesterday that the new iPhone 6 Plus can indeed be bent. He concluded: unfortunate, but under the pressure of my hands, it does bend quite significantly.
But what most people don’t know is that the iPhone 5 and 5S also bended. The Samsung Galaxy S5 also bends. The iPhone 6 Plus bends more because it is significantly larger than any of the previous models. Almost any smartphone with a metal frame to it will slightly bend.
What can you do to prevent your new iPhone 6 Plus from bending? Firstly, you need to stop putting it in your jeans pockets. Find a different spot for it if you want to keep it nice, smooth and straight.
